As women, we’re often socialized to believe there is only room for one of us at the table. Through lived experiences that reinforced this belief, our founder, Elisha Zelina Bell, recognized the need to dismantle this limiting narrative and create a space where collaboration, empowerment, and equity are at the forefront.

With over 20 years of experience in global health, strategy, and social purpose, Elisha has encountered firsthand the barriers and biases that women face—not only in boardrooms, but across systems shaped by exclusion and scarcity. Determined to rewrite the story, she birthed Rooted In Wisdom as a feminist-based, female-first consulting firm dedicated to empowering organizations and amplifying women’s voices across all sectors.

While women remain at the center of our work, we recognize that true equity must also elevate other underrepresented voices—particularly those most impacted by racial injustice, climate disruption, and systemic exclusion. Our mission has expanded to reflect this, embracing environmental stewardship, economic justice, and culturally grounded partnerships rooted in respect and reciprocity.
